hello? hello?

As you can tell, when conducting important business, he cannot be bothered.

Oh how I always wanted a chubby baby!

The little lemon stayed home while we were in Vegas, and like us, he apparently ate very well! This was the view I got from the car yesterday during our routine visit to the grocery store.

After much effort by all involved, we are finally taking The Boss off of formula. He had a weight check, and even though he is still on the slim side, he is gaining weight. This is a funny angle, and it makes him look a little chubbier than he is, but ain't it cute!!?? I was so proud of his double chin.

Vegas: minus the hangover

Jeff and I just returned from the International Builder's Show in Vegas. We met our good friends/business partners, Curt and Melissa there. The show was amazing and we had so much fun! I have to be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about going to "Sin City" while pregnant, but it was still incredibly enjoyable.

We ate some of the best food I have had in a long time, got amazing spa treatments, listened to great live music, did some shopping (A.K.A. lots of exercise, there is SO much shopping in Vegas), lost some perfectly good money (ahem...), got very useful information for the business, and enjoyed some much needed rest and relaxation.

Can you even believe all the snow?

Seriously, who needs a yard guy when you've got The Boss outside helping?

After we did not pick up the leaves in the backyard for a number of weeks that I don't feel comfortable disclosing, all 3 of us decided that it needed to be done on Saturday. Jeff does the front yard consistently, however the backyard was a different story. By the sixth leaf pile I decided it was time to pull out the number for the yard service. Hey, were from Arizona, leaves are a pain!! So to answer the question above, WE need a yard guy. Granted, even though the yard looks spotless now, and we felt a sense of accomplishment, I feel comfortable letting the yard guy maintain it's spotless-ness for the duration.

Comparison - #1 vs. #2 (16 1/2 weeks)

#1                                          #2

Ok fine.....I will stop giving dirty looks when people ask. "Are you sure there's only one in there?"
I actually weigh less at this point than with Aiden,  my belly is just double.

I've been awarded....

Mrs. Rosky awarded me the Honest Scrap Award. I am supposed to tell you ten, random, honest things about myself. Here they are, in no particular order.

1. At age 16, my first real job was at the "Q" health club, doing telemarketing. Not because my parents made me, I just thought it would be fun to have a job. I got over that real fast.

2. I don't like going to movie theatres. If I am going to watch a movie, I want it to be at home, on my couch, with my blanket and pillows.

3. If I had to choose a "last supper" it would be King Crab Legs. I could eat pounds of these.

4. When I am stressed out, I organize things or paint my nails.

5. I detest going to the grocery store, and I feel like I am there once a week no matter how much I buy the trip before.

6. I know that I have slight form of OCD. I'm not Rain Man or anything, but I have to do many things a certain way, or I won't do them at all. For example, if Jeff let me, I could sit and debate a purchase and weigh my options forever. I do this with everything. When buying baby food, I must purchase an even number of jars. I only like to watch TV when the volume is on even numbers. I know the number of pumps of lotion necessary to cover the lower half of my body vs. my upper half. I re-fold Aiden's onesies in his drawer at least once a week. I don't know....I just like doing it....LOL. Anyway, I could actually have a whole separate post for this one.

7. I will never eat an orange popsicle with vanilla ice cream filling. It's related to eating one when I was very young and had the flu.

8. I often forget exactly how old I am. I could have sworn last week that I was 28. No such luck, after doing the math, I'm 29. Darn.

9. I have a habit of hiding money from myself, in hopes of finding and using it when I really need it. There is a $100 bill somewhere in my house that I have been looking for since July. I have stopped hiding money.

10. Two of my biggest pet peeves are:
* when adults talk baby talk to other adults (spouses/friends/co-workers) GAG.
* when parents let their children run around in public places all crazy

And now, I am awarding the following people. C'mon, it's only ten.

Bad Day - Good Laugh

You know those days...the bad ones. The ones where you wake up thinking it's Saturday when it's really only Wednesday....it's day 3 of your lingering pregnancy hormone headache....you leave the house in a huff because your husband mistakenly told you your roots look dark....you get to work only to realize that your Starbucks order is totally wrong....but you drink it anyway because your inbox lovingly informs you that you have 105 unread messages....you go to Kaiser on your lunch break to get pricked by a needle for your 4th lab work order....it's mid-afternoon, but the line is still out the door, meaning you have at least a 25 minute wait....there are sick people coughing everywhere, with no regard to how far their germs fly, so your thinking "I didn't have Swine Flu when I came here, but I bet I will when I leave"....in short your just a HUGE Debbie Downer....

Then amongst all of this, in a waiting room that has PLENTY of adult size chairs, you do a double take, and see two grown women enjoying their reading material, cozied up to a kiddie table, that is about 2 feet off the ground, and you cannot help but laugh out loud, realizing that you really needed that laugh and tomorrow is another day. It is then you are thankful that your phone takes pictures, because chances are, you may need another good laugh later....

Mind you, there is not one single child in this room that these ladies could possibly belong to.

New "Fun" Things

Aiden got to attend his very first birthday party on Saturday. He got to jump on the trampolines (with daddy), and eat pizza and cake. He also mastered a couple of other firsts this weekend as well. With a little assistance, he can now eat with a spoon and drink out of a straw.

The party was actually held at a place by our house called Sky High. It is a HUGE warehouse with numerous trampolines and foam pits.

For those of you who do not know, Jeff is NOT a fan of crowds of any kind, not to mention when they contain 90% screaming kids. He is very easy to read and I could tell he was overwhelmed.

Me: "Having fun?" ::giggle::

Jeff: "This is chaos, let's never have a birthday party here." (meanwhile Aiden is running around crazy)

Me: "Agreed"..... "Jeff! Aiden is over there licking the ground! Go get him!"

Jeff's expression here tells all - however, Aiden's is priceless as well! ("whoops, I guess ground-licking is not OK")

Finally we had to leave. Aiden was upset, but you would NEVER be able to tell. (wink wink)

Just because it's fun to talk about....

....and I feel like I need to document this stuff like I did for Aiden.

This pregnancy so for at 15 weeks:

- The bad news: I was lucky enough to have a slight round of morning sickness. Yippee! This is payback for bragging during the last pregnancy that I was morning sickness free. This lasted till about week 12. This was compounded by migraine headaches.

- The good news: Both morning sickness and headaches have completely vanished.

- The weirdest craving to date: Wheat thins dipped in Italian dressing. Fairly early in the pregnancy as I sat eating this concoction I thought to myself, "This is so good, but what is the reason for this?" My cravings are completely different. With Aiden I consumed massive amounts of sweets. Notably donuts, and lots of them. This time, I want salt, please pass the french fries and pickles.

- Most noticeable difference: I am showing MUCH faster this time. Currently in the beginning of my 4th month, I look about the size that I did by the end of my 5th month. Thanks for pointing that out by the way my love, you are a gem.

And last but not least, Jeff's quote of the week:

Jeff: "So, does this mean that we get another baby shower?"

Me: "Yes, Jeff, I think so."

Jeff: "Awesome! Let's put a new flat screen on the list this time."

Me: (mid eye roll) "Jeff, Babies R' Us doesn't have flat screens."

Aiden's Baby Dedication

On December 27th 2009, Aiden's dedication was held at Desert Hills Bible Church. Thank you to all of our friends and family that were able to attend. I regret not being able to get pictures with all of you, but your presence was very much appreciated by Jeff and myself. A special thank you as well, to mom and dad for hosting such a nice brunch afterwards.

Thank you David for all of the pictures!

Christmas in Arizona 2009

5 days, 4 houses, TONS of fun. Thank you to everyone whom we were lucky enough to spend the holidays with. We love you all.
