Here We Go!

It will only be a matter of time before he does this with no assistance. I think the cutest part of this video is every time he hits a dead end, he reaches back for Daddy to help him.

Sticky Fingers

Aiden has FINALLY started to have an interest in feeding himself. This video was taken after I had fed him some chicken/veggies/pasta all in one. Not his finest moment, but if you watch closely at the end of the video there are some shots of he new teeth.

Don't Let Us Keep You Up

With as busy of a weekend that we had with Grandma Lemon and Uncle Mike in town, Aiden had to get a nap in where he could. This one is in the booth at the Mexican food restaurant that we went to on Saturday afternoon. I am glad that he is not picky where he sleeps! He's so cute with his little butt up in the air. It's kind of hard to see in these pictures, but his hair is starting to grow longer and curl up in the back EXACTLY like Jeff's. Same color and everything.

Oh, and he's got Daddy's ears too. He wouldn't be as cute with out them.

Tylenol Recall

I know a lot of mommies (and daddies) of small children read the blog from time to time (thank you), so I felt like I should just post this as an FYI. Thankfully, I have just recently started buying Target Brand, since it is half the price. Guess bargain shopping paid off twice this time!

NEW YORK – Johnson & Johnson's McNeil unit is voluntarily recalling 57 lots of infants' and children's liquid Tylenol products because of possible bacterial contamination.

The products being recalled were made between April and June and include nearly two dozen varieties, including Children's Tylenol Suspension 4 oz. Grape, Infants' Tylenol Grape Suspension Drops 1/4 oz. and Children's Tylenol Plus Cold/Allergy 4 oz. Bubble Gum.

Johnson & Johnson said late Thursday it has contacted wholesalers and retailers about the recall. An inactive ingredient didn't meet internal testing requirements, the company said, and B. cepacia bacteria were detected in a portion of raw material that went unused in the finished product.

The company said in a letter that no bacteria were found in the finished product, and that the likelihood of a serious medical event is remote. But it said it decided after consulting with the Food and Drug Administration that it would recall the products.

"It was decided, as a precaution, to recall all product that utilized any of the raw material manufactured at the same time as the raw material that tested positive for the bacteria," the company said.

Consumers with questions should call McNeil's consumer call center at 1-800-962-5357.

Lot numbers can be found on the bottom of the product's box and on the sticker that surrounds the product's bottle.

A full list of the recalled products and lot numbers is available to Tylenol's web site: http://www.tylenol.com

Camping Trip @ Collins Lake

So our first camping trip with Aiden was a success! He seemed to love every minute of it, and the adults had a great time too. Aiden went to bed every night, with no problem and slept through the night. The boys took good naps during the day, even though they were taken in random places.

Chef Brian made sure we were WELL fed with pre-planned meals

GLO - STICKS!

Girl talk after the babies went to bed

Breakfast time for Aiden

My only complaint was how much stuff we had to un-pack when we got home (ok, so some is still sitting in our hallway) But seriously, the amount of stuff we needed with for Aiden was craziness. I pack with the motto - "Better to be safe than sorry". Needless to say we can home with tons of unused outfits, diapers, blankets, etc, but you just never know. Can't wait to do it again!

More High Quality Vids

Aiden is so curious about everything. Especially if he sees Jeff or I doing something, he is RIGHT in the middle. This was one night when Jeff was working and we had nothing else to do, so of course we decided to paint our nails. Well I painted mine and Aiden helped.

Aiden recently acquired this lovely toy (thanks Inge). It is a "Wiggles" guitar that plays LOUD Wiggles songs. Completely obnoxious. Well it was one of those afternoons where I quite literally had lost my ability to hear even one more jam from this thing. I come out of the kitchen with every intention to give this back to it's right full owner. But I come around the corner to this:

Needless to say after seeing this, this is a permanent fixture in the toy bin.

Toothy McTootherson

Saturday morning, Aiden popped his very first pearly white! I haven't been able to get a picture yet.......this is a challenge for another day. But, it is his bottom, front tooth and I think the second one is not far behind.

Toothy McTootherson just sounded to me like a perfect name - sounds like a little old man. And let me tell you, he acts like a little old man when the poor dear is teething. This weekend we spent the majority of Saturday together since Daddy had to work. He was very good for the most part, nothing a little Baby Orajel couldn't cure, or so I thought. But come Saturday evening, the cranky old man came out. Anytime I would tell him "no" for something, he would turn around, scowl and growl back at me. It was all I could do not to die laughing. I wish I would have gotten it on video. I will be more prepared next time. Goodness knows we will be spending a lot of time with Toothy in the near future.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Then & Now

LABOR DAY 2008

LABOR DAY 2009
"Thanks for the life vest Granpa Lemon!"

Angus' little face in this picture cracks me up, and of course Aiden with his tongue.

Sleepy babies.

You getting sick of seeing boating pictures? Good! I'm getting sick of posting them. But I guess that's just how we roll.

10 MONTHS

I cannot get enough of his gummy smile. And gums is all it is, we still have yet to pop a tooth. Doctor says not to worry, as the later that the teeth come in, the healthier they tend to be. (Guess at 5, 6 and 7 months the statement, "he must be teething", wasn't appropriate/accurate....)
I was trying to come up with some clever captions to put with the pictures but I am too tired/lazy today. I have no idea why, it's certainly not like I over exerted myself this weekend. We had a nice, relaxing three-day weekend.

Aiden @ 10 months:
* loves to stick his tongue out
* crawls all around the house - when he wants to crawl REAL fast, he puts his head down and charges (less wind resistance I suppose)
* walks around and around the coffee table
* doesn't have much interest in feeding himself yet, he prefers that I do it
* loves to play peek-a-boo
* when daddy comes home at the end of the day, Aiden smiles and flaps his arms at him like he hasn't seen him in weeks
* terrified of the vacuum
* thinks burying his face in blankets and making noises is SO funny
* still wears some 3-6 month clothes, but 12 - 18 month shoes
* his new thing is dive bombing my chin and gumming it
* gives hugs and kisses
* still loves to watch Sponge Bob Square Pants
* likes to play with any kind of ball
