New "Fun" Things

Aiden got to attend his very first birthday party on Saturday. He got to jump on the trampolines (with daddy), and eat pizza and cake. He also mastered a couple of other firsts this weekend as well. With a little assistance, he can now eat with a spoon and drink out of a straw.

The party was actually held at a place by our house called Sky High. It is a HUGE warehouse with numerous trampolines and foam pits.

For those of you who do not know, Jeff is NOT a fan of crowds of any kind, not to mention when they contain 90% screaming kids. He is very easy to read and I could tell he was overwhelmed.

Me: "Having fun?" ::giggle::

Jeff: "This is chaos, let's never have a birthday party here." (meanwhile Aiden is running around crazy)

Me: "Agreed"..... "Jeff! Aiden is over there licking the ground! Go get him!"

Jeff's expression here tells all - however, Aiden's is priceless as well! ("whoops, I guess ground-licking is not OK")

Finally we had to leave. Aiden was upset, but you would NEVER be able to tell. (wink wink)

Just because it's fun to talk about....

....and I feel like I need to document this stuff like I did for Aiden.

This pregnancy so for at 15 weeks:

- The bad news: I was lucky enough to have a slight round of morning sickness. Yippee! This is payback for bragging during the last pregnancy that I was morning sickness free. This lasted till about week 12. This was compounded by migraine headaches.

- The good news: Both morning sickness and headaches have completely vanished.

- The weirdest craving to date: Wheat thins dipped in Italian dressing. Fairly early in the pregnancy as I sat eating this concoction I thought to myself, "This is so good, but what is the reason for this?" My cravings are completely different. With Aiden I consumed massive amounts of sweets. Notably donuts, and lots of them. This time, I want salt, please pass the french fries and pickles.

- Most noticeable difference: I am showing MUCH faster this time. Currently in the beginning of my 4th month, I look about the size that I did by the end of my 5th month. Thanks for pointing that out by the way my love, you are a gem.

And last but not least, Jeff's quote of the week:

Jeff: "So, does this mean that we get another baby shower?"

Me: "Yes, Jeff, I think so."

Jeff: "Awesome! Let's put a new flat screen on the list this time."

Me: (mid eye roll) "Jeff, Babies R' Us doesn't have flat screens."

Aiden's Baby Dedication

On December 27th 2009, Aiden's dedication was held at Desert Hills Bible Church. Thank you to all of our friends and family that were able to attend. I regret not being able to get pictures with all of you, but your presence was very much appreciated by Jeff and myself. A special thank you as well, to mom and dad for hosting such a nice brunch afterwards.

Thank you David for all of the pictures!

:: Coming Attraction ::

And so it begins....AGAIN : )

Aiden is going to be a big brother at the end of June! June 30th is my exact due date. We are thrilled.

My money is on this baby being a girl. ALL my money. Just wait, you'll see.

I have a lot of other pictures and updates that will be coming soon as well. I hope everyone had as wonderful of a holiday as we did.

Merry Christmas!

He's not too thrilled about Santa yet.......

But when we tell him about the puppies at Grandma and Grandpa's house, he can't wait....

I cannot believe that Christmas is only 3 days away! We will be traveling to Arizona on Wednesday, so this will probably be the last post for a few days. We hope that you all have a wonderful, and blessed holiday with friends and family!

Sad. Pathetic. Disturbed. Creepy.

Are all words that come to mind when I was bombarded by comments left from some anonymous visitors to my blog this afternoon.

I hate to give a nasty comment too much momentum or steam but I thought you would all get a good laugh out of this. I have officially gotten hate mail. I have to admit it took me off guard, but then I began to get the giggles because it was quite obvious that they had not read the post in the manner in which it was intended. And even more obvious is the fact that they have some internal demons/issues that they must battle with. So in general, I feel sorry for them.

I have deleted the comments from the actual post, but here they are below, so kindly left on the Nekkid Baby post from a few weeks ago.

"He looks like a fat pig when he is naked! Put som mayonnaise and mustard and an apple in his mouth and then...oink oink"

"Why post pictures of your naked child on internet? Respect him for heavens sake and stop bragging about exposing a naked child. Shame on you."

The last comment, I won't even post as is was so inappropriate.

Yes, this is a public blog, so people are able to comment as they like. I find it unfortunate and cowardly that these have all been left by "anonymous" bloggers and some creep who goes by the name of "Anna". Most likely, better known as some nasty old man that is probably listed on the Megan's Law website.

Am I mad? No, how can I be, it's a public blog (for now). Am I disturbed? Yes, that there are people in the world of this mentality. Will I probably make my blog private from now on? Possibly, but I certainly will no longer accept anonymous comments.

So, "anonymous" go ahead and comment again.....oh yeah you can't. God bless you, idiots.

To friends and family, you will still be able to leave comments, they will just require my approval first.

Busy Beaver

Sorry about the novice video skills. You would think I would have this down by now. I am not sure how to turn this. I figured I would still post it though, sorry if it gives you motion sickness. As you can see Aiden is all over the place. We are in the process of learning not to touch the Christmas tree ("no touchy") and the fireplace ("hot"). I didn't know I said these things until I heard myself on video. I will go home and work on more complete sentences.

Brrrrrr......

This picture was taken this morning, about 7 miles from our house.

Even though I don't do so well in the current 37 degree weather, it definitely makes it feel more like Christmas. I don't think that we will see any snow like this in Arizona over the holidays.

Black Friday

In order:

Old Navy
DSW
Wal-Mart
Target
Nordstrom Rack
Marshall's
Harbor Freight
The entire Roseville Galleria Mall
Sierra Ski and Snowboard

Yes, we had 8 hours worth of Black Friday fun. I let the boys break for food at least twice. Was it worth it and will I go again next year? COMPLETELY and WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend and got some smokin' Black Friday deals.
