I will start being better about the updates! I took both of these lil' monsters to the doctor yesterday. Harper for her 9 month well-baby check up and Aiden for an eye infection. Harper weighs 15 pounds and The Boss is at a whopping 25 pounds. Besides both being mad at me, Harper for the shots and Aiden for the eye drops, they are perfectly healthy.

Jeff and I had our 3 year anniversary yesterday (yay!!!!!!!!) and will be heading to Monterey this weekend to celebrate. "Ma-Ga (grandma) and Pa-Ga (grandpa)" are kind enough to watch the kiddies for us. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

HARPER:

LOVES to eat. There is not a jar of baby food she hasn’t liked yet, and Cheerios can keep her busy for an hour or so.

She can stand all by herself for close to a minute at a time.

She adores her big brother.

Likes to give kisses.

Can clap her hands.

Still loves to scream when she is happy.

Likes to pull stuff out of any drawer.

Takes 2-3 naps per day and sleeps for about 11-12 hours at night.

Is SO chubby compared to Aiden when he was her age. They wear the same size diaper right now.

Enjoys stroller rides in the double with Aiden.

Rides in the Powerwheels with The Boss.

Is always on the move.

Already is obsessed with cell phones and the remote – just like Aiden at that age.

AIDEN:

The Boss is a talker now and it’s so cute. Here are some of his faves:

“oh COOL!”

“what you doing?”

“see you later dude” or “see you soon!”

“yourrrrr cuuuute” (referring to his sister)

“Hopper NO! NO, NO Hopper!” (Hopper = Harper)

When he wants to get out of his bed it’s always “Help! Help!”

When I change his diaper and it is only wet he always let’s me know “No dookie mom.” - potty training is in our very near future.

Likes to spray the hairspray and play with lotion.

Loves to push any thing “Aiden pushhh it!” (radio, doorbells, lights, phones, the buttons on the microwave, buttons on the remote control, flushing the toilet)

Loves “rides” from daddy.

Going anywhere in “dad’s truck”

Still has to watch The Fresh Beat Band at least 10 times a day.

Has started to dance.

Likes to do tricks on our snowboards and his new skateboard (wheels are not attached)

If some of you remember, Jeff and I had struggled for a long time to get Aiden to eat - anything. Well I am happy to say that this is no longer an issue. He has all of a sudden decided that eating is fun (and necessary). Here he is eating one of his favorite things : Chicken Nuggets.

I'm pretty bummed that so many of these came out blurry. Miss Harpie is MIA as it was way past her bedtime. But here is what we have from that night. This year was especially fun to watch Aiden, because he finally is starting to "get" the whole Christmas thing. There certainly was no shortage of presents for the kids to unwrap. Aiden did most of the unwrapping but I think Harper had just as much fun watching. Thank you to all of our family and friends for the wonderful gifts. We are so blessed to have so many of you that showered the kids with presents. The amount of love that was shared by all is worth so much more than the gifts, but they were all much appreciated.

Turkey Day in Reno

I know I am a little tardy on this post, but better late than never. Jeff and I were able to get away for some much needed rest and relaxation. It was so wonderful, but we did miss the kiddies.

Reno was absolutely gorgeous after the big storm. We went snowboarding the day after and it was a beautiful 40 degrees outside. By noon Jeff and I were shedding layers and managed to get some serious raccoon eyes from our glasses. We stayed right on the river in a timeshare hotel, an early Christmas present from my parents. Thanks so much mom and dad! Now that Thanksgiving is over it's time to decorate for Christmas! It's my favorite time of the year, plus this year Aiden will have a better idea about Santa. So much fun to be had.

Lil' miss Munchy had her doctors appointment yesterday. Jeff and I took her together. She weighed in at 13.5 pounds and is 25 inches long. The doctor kept telling us how much of a JOY she is. We couldn't agree more. She smiled the whole time until of course the nurse came in with the shots. I wish I had pictures to share today, but I will take them tonight. I caught myself tearing up just seeing how sweet she was interacting with the doctor. I'm seriously one lucky mama.

The Lemon fam has been so busy and I have lots of news to post. Let's start with Halloween. How cute are these 2 little Trick-or-Treaters? Aiden was a Monkey....well because that's what we call him. And Harper was our little flower. We walked the neighborhood and Aiden pretty much had the hang of it by the third house. Next year he will be able to show Harper the ropes. Aiden has also discovered how much he really loves candy corn.

I have considered us lucky that Aiden has not started to climb out of his crib yet. When he does, this will be the time to transition his crib into a toddler bed. However, The Boss earned himself a time out on Sunday and this is when I realized that this may be happening sooner than later. His time out spot is a chair inside his room. I proceeded to put him in the chair and shut the door. About 7 minutes later when his screaming subsided, I went in to get him, only to find that he was in his crib. He had climbed in somehow which makes me believe that he certainly could climb out as well. I am just waiting for the day when Jeff and I are watching TV, or laying in bed, and he comes waddling out of his room all on his own to join us. I'm sure the new bed will pose a whole new set of challenges when it comes to bedtime. Good times.....

This is what it should look like. I am actually kind of excited, but it just reminds me how big The Boss is getting.

Binky Be Gone

This close up was taken by Aiden himself. Note the rash on his face caused by his Binky. Yes, the Bink is still in our lives. It is a hard time to take it away since he sees his sister with one, but eventually it has to be done. For the most part, he only uses it when he sleeps, BUT as of about a month ago, I cannot get this horrible rash to go away. I am requesting assistance from parents that have/had a child that has used a Binky:

1. How do I make the rash go away? I have tried boiling all the Binky's in the house in order to sanitize, as well as used a Monistat type cream - no luck.
2. And most importantly, please share your success story's of getting your child to give up the pacifier completely.

Apple Hill

This is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather here is to die for, and I start getting so excited for all the the holidays to come. This weekend we took the kids up to Apple Hill. It was a perfect day; the kids got to run around all day, we ate some yummy food, rode a few kiddie rides, and we were going to let Aiden pick out his own pumpkin, but about the time that we got into the car to head to the BIG pumpkin patch, we The Boss had a meltdown. About 2 minutes after the meltdown he was passed out in his car seat. Guess we will do pumpkin patch another day. Harper was just happy as a clam lounging in her stroller. Eating, snoozing and watching the kids run around is her kind of fun. I'm going to appreciate this while it lasts because soon she will be wanting to be in the middle of all the action.

P.S. Don't mind Aiden's ragamuffin hair. He is getting a haircut this weekend. At a professional salon this time. Wish me luck!

The City

I love, love San Francisco. It's so full of life, the people watching is amazing, and the shopping....well it's bananas (that one is for you Jeff). We made another trip last weekend to meet up with Uncle Mikey and just hang out for the day. Harper lounged in the lobby of the JW for a bit, we all played in the park and then watched the airshow while eating lunch, high up on the outdoor deck of the Macy's building. It was a perfect day. I am working on getting Jeff to move there, but I think it will take A LOT more than a few "pleases" and eyelash batting. In fact I think he shut me down completely. At least it's only a little over an hour away.

Munchy is FOUR months!

I had started to call Harper, "Munchy" (short for Munchkin) when she was so little. Now that she is NOT so little, Munchy still works because she likes to eat/munch so much. Not that it's any secret with all of the wonderful rolls that are present in her tutu.

She is about 13 pounds now.
She can roll from back to front.
She smiles 23 out of 24 hours a day.
She LOVES her brother.
She is laughing now.
She yells a lot just out of happiness.
She sleeps 7-8 hours at night (thank you formula).
Her eyes just keep getting bigger and bluer, like her brother's.

My dear friend Lisa made Harper her adorable headband and tutu. I have had SO many compliments on them! If anyone wants one, let me know and I can give you Lisa's contact information.

Oh, and mom, to answer your question, no, I do not think her face is thinning out. It must have just been an optical illusion. I'll mention to her that you thought so though : )

This weekend we went to Fairytale Town with the kids. It was so much fun and I cannot believe that we hadn't been before. I have a whole bunch of pictures on Jeff's phone (found out the camera was out of battery juice when we pulled up), so as soon as I get a chance I will be able to upload more.

This past weekend my cousin Kami got married in Napa. The location was absolutely gorgeous and so was Kami. We had such a nice time and are so happy for the both of them. The kiddos were pretty good for the most part. Aiden had tons of room to run around outside, and Harper just hung out and looked cute. Daddy was actually able to get her to laugh for the first time that night.

We were all pretty pooped by the end of the night.

On Saturday we went to the air show at Mather Airport Base. Miss Harper slept for the majority of the time, but Aiden had a blast. He would watch all the planes and yell "aya-pane!" The huge jets were so loud, but didn't bother him in the least, and well you can see how much it bothered the little Missy.

Why on earth I didn't purchase this sooner, I don't know. This item has just made my life 10 times easier. It's the little things in life that matter now. Like the fact that this stroller has TWO cup holders for me, and each kid has a cup/snack holder. Plus, the back seat pops out so Aiden can either sit or stand on the back. If Harper happens to fall asleep in the car, her infant seat can just snap on the front part so she doesn't wake up. I mean the possibilities are endless......thank you Baby Trend, I owe you one.

Labor Day 2010

Our Labor Day weekend was not lacking in fun. Harper modeled her bikini, Aiden got to go on the boat with his playmates, and they both got to go to watch Tyler in a skate competion.

He hated the tube (or maybe it was just wearing the life jacket), but he couldn't get enough of the rock throwing. Such a boy.

3 month-er & a 22 month-er

Wow! No matter how much you pray that they stay little, they just keep growing :) Harper had her 3 month check up on Friday. She is 11 pounds and 23 inches. Everything else checked out great. The doctor was especially thrilled with her weight gain. Here are the pictures from her appointment.

Aiden was a little distracted by the upcoming show, and his latest obsession on TV (The Fresh Beat Band), but we did the best we could to show off a little. It's actually a miracle that I got as much as I did on tape. He is usually much more interested in being the film"er" and not the film"ee".

And of course Miss Harper K wanted some camera time as well before her nap. I was hoping to get her to flash her gummy smile. But I guess she saves those for right when she gets up in the morning. Such a gift.

She understood eventually, and both of us are getting through the day. I promised her that every day would be easier.

Yes, it's back to reality. Today was my first day back to work. I have to be honest, it was not as hard to leave this morning as I thought. I know that both little Munchkins are in good hands and I woke up this morning in a great mood. I was a little panicky when the alarm went off, but it is already 1:00 in the afternoon, I'm off to lunch for an hour, then back until only 4:30.

Right now at this moment, I am feeling so wonderful though. I am so very close to being able to say that I am back to my happy self. I'm sure there is a whole separate post about this coming soon. It feels like it has taken an eternity, and I will never take good days for granted again.

You know what they say about all good things....they come to an end.

Summer days get a little long trying to entertain a toddler inside, so I consulted with my dear friend Katie for ideas what she does with her THREE little ones. One of her recommendations was to have fun with shaving cream outside. Katie, Aiden and I thank you.

It was a very sad realization for Aiden when he realized the fun didn't last forever. Guess I need to run to the dollar store to stock up.

Yes, I admit I have more than neglected the blog. But for good reason.....we have had so much fun stuff going on. Miss Harpie is already 2 1/2 months old! She has doubled her weight and is smiling all the time. Aiden is wonderful and is starting to talk up a storm. I personally have spent a lot of time getting healthy and learning new things about myself every day. I can say that my state of mind has improved a great deal and I am thankful and much more appreciative for all the gifts in my life. There are truly so many.

Besides that......I recently celebrated my 30th birthday in Arizona with all of my very favorite people. I was originally just going out for a week with Harper to spend time with my mom while my dad was out of town (a girls weekend, ya know?) and then the night before I had to leave, I was sitting on the couch feeling sad, and in walked my beautiful son and handsome husband. I almost fell off the couch I was so surprised. Jeff had arranged for us to spend the night at a fabulous resort while Grandma and Grandpa watched the babies, and then this was accompanied by two days at the resort pool with family and friends. It was by far the best birthday I have ever had. Thank you to all who made it so memorable.

Day Trip To the City

Last weekend we drove into San Fran to spend the afternoon with our friends Curt and Melissa. They were in the area, and the city is normally only about an hour and a half from us. Normally being the operative word here. On this wonderful day it took us 3 hours to get there. Traffic was an absolute nightmare. Thank goodness the kids both slept a large part of the way, and we avoided any melt downs. We did make it home in an hour and a half though that evening. Go figure.

Aiden loved to watch and run at the "teet teets" (birdies). He wasn't quite sure what to make of the moving characters at the Ripley's museum.Me and my babies.

Summer Fun

I just wanted to give an update to friends and family that were so kind to reach out to me after I had posted about my PPD. It has been 2 weeks since I began getting some help, and I am so glad that I did. Everyday is better and a little brighter. I have a little ways to go, but the amount of support that I have received from friends has really been amazing. To those who took the time to call, write emails, and send comments, I cannot thank you enough. You really helped me out when I needed it most, and I was so incredibly touched by your words. To my momma also, who was there to listen when I felt like I was coming unraveled. This experience has completely rocked me to my core, but I will get through this and be better because of it. Thanks again to all.

Concerts in the Park

When I look at these pictures, I cannot believe how much she has grown already! Her actual body must have almost doubled in size. She continues to be such a sweet girl and absolutely the most perfect addition to our family. Last night was her first night in her own room and she was only up twice. She grunts all night long, so even though she doesn't cry often, the grunting is enough to keep you up all night if she is in the same bedroom. She made her first trip to Tahoe last weekend for the 4th, and slept on the beach the whole day. That's my girl .......

Like a Ton of Bricks

I have hesitated in writing this post for a lot of reasons. Some because of pride, mostly due to lack of time, and some due to not really feeling like an enthusiastic blogger. However, now that I am writing, it is serving as a helpful outlet for me. Plus, I do feel like this is an issue that is overlooked by many women, and should certainly not be.

After Harper's birth, and not feeling like myself for quite a few days, I decided that I needed to go and talk to someone about this. To put it in a nutshell (as best as I can at least), I basically felt like all of the joy was just ripped out of my world....all of a sudden, for reasons that I could not explain. I didn't understand why I felt this way, especially since I was overloaded with happiness when Aiden was born. When I started considering going back to work early, feeling like I was having panic attacks, I cried more than I have cried in 2 years, and in general not feeling like an adequate mother, I knew that this was just not me, or my normal thoughts at all. Yesterday after talking to a specialist, I was diagnosed with Post Partum Depression.

The severity varies in all cases, however it is something that some women experience after birth. From what I understand it is caused by the hormones and chemicals in your body adjusting. I am still in the process of doing research when I can, however, what I can tell you is that it is not a good place to be.

The good news is that since I began seeking help early last week, every day is a better day. I know what I need to do, and I feel like I am in good hands with the doctors that I have talked to. I hope that this post is not misconstrued for attention seeking, or that I am not thankful for my beautiful daughter.

In all of this, Jeff has been my rock. Without him, I wouldn't have been able to get better. The Boss, LOVES his little sister and cannot seem to give her enough kisses and loves. Harper has been to the doctor twice and she is doing wonderful. She loves to eat and is growing like a weed.

I am blessed and I know this for sure. I pray, and in my heart definitely know that things will only go up from here.

The time is just flying. Munchkin is doing so well. She eats like a horse and is such a sweetheart. She only cries when she is hungry or is getting her diaper changed. She has gradually been spending more time awake. I think she was up for a whole 30 minutes straight this morning.

She is about to grow out of her first preemie outfit, and we are moving up in diaper size from the "preemie" to the "newborn". The preemie diapers are SO tiny, I swear they are no bigger than a maxi pad.

On Sunday Aiden (and Dad) spent a large part of the day playing in the kiddie pool and the sprinklers. It is finally starting to feel like summer here. This past Sunday was the first day that the temperature reached above the 95 degree mark. I personally love the summer and cannot wait to get at least a little bit of a tan!

Aiden had a blast. Harper on the other hand, wasn't quite as interested.

Harper's Birth Story

June 4th 2010 at 6:50pm. 6 Pounds, 5 ounces, 18 inches long.

Friday morning was really just like any other morning. The only difference was, that as I was getting out of the shower I randomly had a brief thought that this might be my last day of being pregnant. Not for any reason; I wasn't contracting, I didn't feel any different, it just popped in my head. But just as quick as the thought appeared, it was gone. My morning just carried on as normal and Jeff and I both went to work.

Around 9:00 am, I noticed that I was having contractions. I didn't think much of it, but decided that I by 11:00 am I should start timing them. Within the hour, they had gone from every 7 minutes, to every 5 and then every 3. By this time, I am slowly starting to realize that I may be going to Labor and Delivery that afternoon, and if that happens then the chances of having a baby in the next few hours is pretty likely. I had already tied up most things at work, but I decided to give my coworker a run down of what was curently going on with my clients. When she looked at me funny, I told her that it was "just as a precaution" since I technically had 3 weeks left of work.

I talked to Jeff and let him know to keep his phone on, as I may have him come home. At this point, I decided that things were obviously progressing, and that either way I needed to leave work. Before I went home though, I ran to both banks to deposit checks and to get some money (by this time I was pretty sure things were happening). I got home, grabbed Aiden and took him into my room while I changed clothes and got things together. Jeff was on his way, and the whole thing was a bit surreal. I called Labor and Delivery and told them that I was coming.

When we got there, they assured me that yes, it looked like I was in labor again, and that I would be having a baby today. This was my cue to start crying. I wasn't ready, and my baby was not "full term" yet. I still had 5 more days for her to reach that point. The doctor was very kind and told me not to worry, but asked what, if anything would make me feel better since they would no longer stop labor being this far along. This was something that I was well aware of, I just didn't really expect it to happen. They sent the NICU nurse to come to talk to me, and answer any questions I might have as far as what they knew, and what I should expect from a baby born at 36 weeks and 2 days. She completely eased my mind, explaining that the only difference should Harper have stayed in until "full term" is that she would weigh more. Everything else like her lungs had already matured.

They admitted me, and started the long pre-op process before the surgery. All the nurses, doctors and anesthesiologists were so wonderful. I was able to relax and really take in the whole experience. At 6:50 pm we welcomed our Harper into this world via C-section. There was a very casual feel in the operating room, both surgeons were talking to me and carrying on normal conversations about their own children while they were doing the surgery. When I heard Harper cry for the first time, I just started to sob. It was such an amazing relief to know that everything was OK. Jeff would go over to the baby, take pictures, then come sit by me and show them to me. Finally when she was all clean, they brought her over to me. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and I cried even harder when I saw her blonde hair. She was perfect in every way. I spent that night in the hospital as well as the following night. We were home by Sunday evening. Things are going much smoother than I had aniticpated. Aiden is being such a sweet boy, and Harper is just a dream.

I am soaking in every moment right now. I am so grateful, and simply could not ask for more.

My doctor booked the O/R during my appointment today! And, he will actually be the one doing the section. Kind of complicated, but with Kaiser it is rare that your OB actually delivers your baby. You just get whichever doctor is delivering babies that day or night in the hospital. He just so happens to be the surgeon working that night. So lucky him, I got to give him a run down on how he needed to make the new incision exactly where my original scar was, to please sew my stomach muscles back together tighter than they were before, and to make sure and suck out any additional fat he may run across while he is in there. I KID. I KID. But wait, I still have my pre-op appointment to discuss this.....

Harper Kadence Lemon will be joining us at 8:30 pm PST, on June 23rd. We will show up at the hospital around 6:30 at night, get my IV started, get the spinal, and we will be on our way.

Her heartbeat is sounding good. My blood pressure is good: 110/62. She is head down - WAY down. I have only gained one pound since my last appointment - which supposedly means the end is near. Doctor says that she will not be a big baby, but will be surpassing Aiden's 6.5 pound birth weight.

Oh-my-gosh - so exciting.....

THIRTY-SIX WEEKS

Doesn't look too bad....

Then WHOA! She's falling over the sides of my jeans.....

-How far along? 36 weeks.

-How big is baby? almost 6 pounds and about 18 1/2 inches.

-Weight gain: 20 lbs total.

-Stretch marks? not yet.

-Sleep? all things considered, I am pleased with the amount I am getting. I am currently sleeping with 5 pillows to support this belly.

-Best moment this week? realizing that she actually will make it to the full term mark (next Wednesday).

-Movement? yes. she has been doing a lot of what they call "practice breathing". It was scary for me at first because I never really noticed it with Aiden. He just had hiccups all the time. But when her back is against the front of my belly, her chest will move up and down in a smooth, rhythmic motion. She will do this for about 30 seconds. It looks like she is doing push-ups in there.

-Food cravings? none really.

-Labor signs? no, not even any Braxton Hicks.

-What I miss? energy.

-What I am looking forward to? holding my little girl in 3 weeks from today!

Harper must have gotten the memo because she has stayed quiet. It looks like she will make it to 37 weeks (considered full term) after all! I cannot tell you how relieved this makes me. I was so worried for awhile that she would come way too early and have to spend some time in the NICU.

This was the first time any of us had been to the Sacramento Zoo. Aiden had so much fun! He spent the entire day running around like you see in the video below. Wait, I take that back, he took the time to steal from the gift shop. I didn't realize the little stinker had done it till we had left!

Aiden will be the first to let you know if you have overstayed your welcome. When he is ready for you to leave, he will walk up to you, wave his hand and say "Bye". I can barely get my shoes on in the morning before work and he's already waving.

It's either this, or "Bye" means HE is ready to leave. Here he is, dragging THEIR new diaper bag, towards the garage door saying "Bye! Bye!". Somebody get some clothes on that kid!

Harper's Nursery

I still have some things that need to go up on shelves, and have a couple wall hangings that I want, but you get the idea. I am really happy with how it turned out. I took some pictures during the day and then some last night.

These are just photos I took. They are the roses that my mom gave me at Harper's shower, and I just laid them in her cradle for the shots. The cradle will go in our room though.

Aiden likes it too. He thinks this is his special little room to hang in.

..... and I am still pregnant. This is not a complaint, more of an accomplishment. I actually felt really great this weekend. We really accomplished a lot this weekend:

~ The nursery is SO close to being finished. All that is left is the rug, which came in today, so I can pick that up this afternoon, and we will be done.
~ I packed my hospital bag, and Jeff installed the infant car seat in my car once again. It is funny to drive around with two car seats in the back.
~ Aiden also got his 3rd haircut. His hair grows so fast. He was such a good boy. He just sat there the whole time while I cut it.

~ I think I finally started nesting. I started obsessively organizing drawers and sanitizing everything in the kitchen. But I am boycotting laundry as you can see from the picture above. In fact, I am thinking about continuing this for the duration.

I know what impatience is like, I have a bad case of it myself, however, it would be really in your best interest to stay in mommy's belly for at least 20 more days until you are full term. The contractions last night at 3 minutes apart, for an hour straight almost cost us another trip to Labor and Delivery. Let's just rest where we are at for a little while longer.

Jeff and I went for our tour of the new hospital on Saturday morning, and Aiden got to have a playdate at one of my girlfriend's houses. They went to a parade, and then they played, and played and played some more. He came home and took a FOUR hour nap. Here he is right after he woke up.

C-Section Scheduled

Exactly 6 weeks from today is now my official c-section date. Wednesday, June 23, 2010.

Today marks week 33. Per my doctor, after week 35, should I go into labor again, they will not stop it this time. I am hoping that she will wait till the scheduled date, however in 5 more weeks I may feel differently. She will be almost doubling her weight from now until the end, so.....ok, my hips are weeping just hearing this news.

I have decided to change the spelling of Harper's middle name. Kadence is now spelled with a "K" instead of a "C". No real reason, just all of a sudden yesterday I decided that it just fit so much better.

The rest of the doctors appointment went well. The heartbeat is at a healthy 135 beats per minute. I have gained 2 pounds this month, so I am up about 17 total. (I had been gaining about 6 pounds per month at my two prior appointments). Harper is head down right now (unlike Aiden). My doctor measures my belly every time, but does not really give me an idea of how big she is. I think she will definately be a bigger baby than Aiden, but that won't be too hard to beat. The little peanut was only 6.5 when he was born.

Just when I am thinking life couldn't get any sweeter, I experienced so much love from friends and family yesterday. So many calls, emails, texts and gifts! I'm overwhelmed with how lucky I am to have such thoughtful and caring people in my life.

Sleep: Jeff got up early with Aiden, so I could sleep. I didn't roll out of bed until about 8:30 which was nothing short of amazing.

Diaper Bag: I have been coveting this bag for months. Aiden's diaper bag has endured quite a bit of wear and tear, so I needed a new one. I needed something that was large enough to tote around all my junk and stuff for 2 babies. This bag is perfection.

Edible Arrangement: My mom and dad sent me this yummy treat. I thought I was supposed to be sending my mom gifts, not the other way around! And the added bonus is that the cute watering can that it came in, matches the decor in Harper's room perfectly.

Flowers: These I got from Dulce and Benjamin. Benjamin is Jeff's right hand man/business partner/friend. They smell absolutely wonderful!

I feel like it is necessary to point out that today I am enjoying being pregnant. I'm not worrying about my weight, I do not have a headache, my heartburn is only burning the the first layer of skin off my esophagus, my neck is finally feeling like it is on it's way back to normal, my right hip is behaving and staying snuggly in it's socket, and just feeling her hands try and poke right through my belly button is absolutely amazing. Truly it is, and I am determined to enjoy these last few weeks of what will most likely be my last pregnancy. I just felt like putting this in writing since lately I have been complaining twenty four-seven.

As each day passes, our little girl's arrival is becoming more real. Now that I am feeling better, I have more energy to do the things that need to be done this weekend:

1. Attempt to finish Harper's nursery - including the task of removing my entire summer wardrobe from her closet, and finding another home for it. This should be good.

2. I must take Aiden's 18 month photo
Yes, a year and a half already! and yes, getting good pictures of my little busy body may take all weekend.

3. I may do the 12 or so loads of laundry that need to be done
Jeff's SUPER subtle hint the other morning must mean he is out of boxers and socks. As he looks around the HUGE mess we call our master bedroom, he asks, "hey, when are you going to start nesting?" If I remember correctly, the side glance I gave him after this, quickly answered his question. Lucky for him, he seems to always make up for these gems he comes up with.

4. And lastly, I will spend my day on Sunday being thankful that I have such a wonderful mother, and especially thankful that I have been given the gift of being a mother to my babies.
